Flufy Granny Square Blanket A Colorful BoyApproved Crochet Project eBook Lisa Clarke Reviews
It's a modern take on the groovy grannies of the 60's and 70's. The book/pattern is very clearly written and perfect for the beginning crocheter without being overwhelming.
The section on choosing yarn does a nice, brief, job of summarizing the basics of her color aesthetic without getting bogged down in color theory in general (on which whole books are written), so that if you want to copy her blanket as shown, you'll end up with something visually similar, but still your own creation.
The step by step tutorials contain clear pictures with concise directions to follow. If you're only just learning to crochet and have never made a granny square before in your life, the tutorial in the pattern will take you there.
This is a great little book. Nice clear instructions with a cute story about a boy and his blanket. The author's explanation of her color choice was great.
